Some Punkbuster possiable fixes.

Found on the EA BFBC2 forums.

Go to run: type in services.msc

Find the services punkbustera.exe and punkbusterb.exe

Set them to automatic.

Restart your computer.



If that doesn't work, (at your own risk) disable all 'computer protection' programs on your system. Punkbuster may be blocked by some useless firewall or a program like teatimer (which stops new services/programs from running on your computer).

If you aren't running as an administrator, make sure you start. Install all new programs, especially games, in administrator mode.

If you continue to have the problem, disable all your 'protection' softwear, run in administrator mode, uninstall the game and reinstall.
Make sure that punkbustera and punkbusterb are on automatic in services.msc


Might also need to:

Start --> control panel
Administrative Tools
Services

Right click pnkBstr (I think) --> Properties
Log On Tab
Select local system account
ok

Right click pnkBstr and select restart

It should install this way by default, but it hasn't been for some I guess.
